We are a 501(c)3 organization working to support people with Spina Bifida as they reach for their goals and pursue a more fulfilling life. SBAGNE is a group of parents, adults with Spina Bifida, and dedicated professionals working together to support and encourage families and individuals throughout the Greater New England area. It is our goal to enrich the lives of those affected by Spina Bifida through education, parental support, social networking, advocacy and public awareness.

The 11th Annual Walk-n-Roll for Spina Bifida is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2020!

The Walk-n-Roll is a family-friendly walk event held all across the country to raise awareness about Spina Bifida and support individuals and families impacted by Spina Bifida. We invite you to join us for a fun day of activity and community!

Due to the COVID19 crisis, the Walk-n-Roll-AThon will be a virtual event. We will have a fun, interactive, and engaging day full of team talent shows, live check-ins, and virtual fun and games. Please sign up today!

Jean Driscoll Dream Big Award

The SBAGNE offers this $1000 award as a tribute to Jean Driscoll, an eight-time Boston Marathon Champion and adult living with Spina Bifida. The SBAGNE is seeking to support an individual in “pursuing their passion” as Jean Driscoll has in her life. The award may be used for educational, developmental or assistive programs and needs and will be awarded to a SBAGNE constituent of over the age of 14, with Spina Bifida who best demonstrates the character and determination of the scholarship’s namesake. An individual can self-nominate or be nominated by another. If you’re interested in applying take a look at the information here.

NEW PROGRAM for tweens/teens 11 – 18, their siblings, and parents!

Please join us at the Browne Center in Durham, NH on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 10 am – 2 pm. All meals and equipment will be provided. This will be a fun, active, inclusive experience for our SB kids and their siblings, with separate programming for parents. Registration fee: $25/family. Comedy Night with Johnny Pizzi at Raging Endorphins Comedy Club – Oct 2, 2020

Join us on Friday, October 2nd for a fun night of stand-up comedy with the Queen of Boston Comedy, Christine Hurley! All to benefit the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England!

Christine will be joined by Comedian Chris Zito, host of MIX 93.1 FM radio morning show, and hosted by one of Boston’s favorite comedy headliners and hosts, Mark Riley!

Doors open at 6 PM and the show starts at 8pm.

Tickets are $25 per person.

This event is open to people ages 21+.

Meet members of our Adult Group

Join our Adult Group! Adult Group dinners and events are geared towards adults living with Spina Bifida age 18 and up. Attendees are welcome to bring a friend or family member. This group was made to provide peer support for adults living with spina bifida and their loved ones. So that  we can give accurate head counts to restaurants, we ask attendees to RSVP with the number of their party to Laura Lambert at llambert@SBAGreaterNE.org by the RSVP date. SBAGNE makes reservation, and schedules, organizes, and promotes Adult Group events. At this time, we ask attendees to cover their own meal expenses.
